people complaining about the dad are forgetting the key point about this story: the dad divorced the mom when she was little, so pretty likely he won't know her school unless the mom tells him.

the mom on the other hand leaving the daughter while she's not even home and contacting the father late (probably not giving him much info either) seems pretty stuid.

He was contacted and asked to take his daughter in. Obviously, if he can't find her where she's expected to be, the first thing to do is call the police. Besides, there's a limited number of schools in the vicinity - pretty banal to check on all of these, even if he doesn't know which one in particular. Two frigging months - what did he think happened to her?

For anyone who doesn't know this manga is an adaptation of the light novel and it's completed (7 volumes). Recently someone started fan translating it and he will be done with volume 4 by december 30th and is probably gonna translate the rest soon after too so if u can't wait for the manga and wanna read more go read his fan TL and show my guy some appreciation u should be able to find his work in the small r/BocchiGal subreddit. As of ch18 u can start reading from v2 c2 but I'd recommend starting from vol 1.
