I think it's nice they chose to volunteer at an orphanage. it helps Aoi be able to relate and also help these kids because of that, and they can even get an idea on how Aoi can transition to moving as a recent orphan herself from the orphanage caretaker. And also.. yeah have the teachers have a better idea about her. I know there are cases where it shouldn't matter what others think but I think the goal is more of clearing misunderstandings AND having people see her in a better light is never bad, especially if she can create more positive and healthy relationships.
