Well, I don't know if it's a thing anymore but I remember reading in a few places that it was a pain in the ass to get even "common" pills over the counter, like paracetamol, ibuprofen and the like. At least in the higher dosages like 500mg and over. But take this with a pinch of salt, never lived there and maybe it's just a few gaijin with poor communication skills.
