what a shame. Akane and Saito make alot of progress in this arc despite the other girls' comedic attempts to get between them. Although Shise does help limit how much they get in the way.

You get to see most of the progress in 27.2. It's not really a harem if the MC doesn't take them into consideration

In fact if you've seen the anime already, these side characters actually help make his personality stand out more unless you're here purely for romance and aren't interested in character development, comedy, drama, or sol.
