he said scanlation lol not translation, you can't make the translation sound that bad as long it is Grammarly correct in English and the conversation is smooth (since you usually wont see the Japanese raw so you wouldn't know). Anyways, Scanlation is basically everything that goes into making it.

Also I’ve seen translation from people I assume to know English just mtl and leave it as is and it will not make any grammatical sense and is incoherent.

Hi, I see @Binguo has replied to you, but yes, that's basically the process. The original picture quality is the same because we use the same source to get the image, so it should be the same quality by default. The difference is just in time for cleaning it nicely (every small detail) and making it look like an authentic English translation. for example, the SFX cleaning, and translating it into Japanese. I'm sure you'll notice the difference when you check back to the previous chapter, where the cleaning isn't bad but it wasn't done properly and the SFX were not cleaned or translated so readers would understand. Well, normally, if it's too difficult, you just put the translated sentence next to it so it can be understood, and if you check carefully, you'll notice how he missed some translation for some conversation (not in the text box). So hopefully you get what I'm saying and what @Binguo said. Finally, I'm not claiming to be the best but I was definitely better and i was just giving it my best to allow you guys to enjoy it with a clean and nice look to it; by no means am I trying to say his sucks but it could be better. I talked with him as I've mentioned and we're on good terms about it so don't worry.

Was looking so closely at the page yet something so obviously there somehow I didn’t pick up. so used to seeing sfx left alone I didn’t realize that part and that’s my bad. Yeah that definitely is a better job, though to me it doesn’t really affect my reading experience so I’m still fucking with outta pockets more cause his credits page be stupid. Also I’ve seen two teams do the same series and somehow quality is still fucked, would like to know why that is? Cause you saying it’s from same source, so what would be deal in those situations, curious if you know. And we good wasn’t really worried just I wasn’t seeing a drastic difference like I’ve seen in other series for you to be saying, though it don’t really matter.

He's just trying to defend his comment, even though he was right about the sniping, but it was already addressed, and he has no literal reason to use that other than trying to keep the conversation going. I think its pretty clear I dont like the job they're doing? They use fucking google translate and went out of their way to disable anti aliasing on the text. The only way they could actually make their scan worse is if they made the text illegibly small.

The bing guy didn't come out and say as much though, so I'm sure his main motivation in sniping wasn't to be pissy towards the other group. Because if he really did spend five hours scanning these two pages just to piss someone off, he probably would've talked mad shit. That's not to say i think he did a particularly great job, but if he's anything like me, he probably sniped bc he likes the series & did a chapter the other group didn't do yet because he wanted people to actually read the scan he'd worked hard on.

I really don't expect you to understand since you've probably never scanned a page in your life, but that's also the reason i mentioned you outta pocket not being able to claim anything with the manga, because most people with a bee in their bonnet in the comment section (you) are clueless. Nothing's stopping you outta pocket from ignoring the snipe and making their own scan of this 2 page chapter without anti aliasing like normal.

sure! I've had a second look, heres what i think you could do better with:

• your lining could use some work. you seem to be making new lines when its convenient for the shaping of the text, rather than as a reflection of how the line would be spoken aloud.
• your sizing is pretty good, but could be better. Your centering is a bit off in a couple bubbles, too.
• font choices are a bit questionable. Wildwords is not a great fit, but its not terrible. Wildwords is overused but its overused for a reason. As for the ojousama font, which looks like Irina? I dont know if its the font, or if you've tweaked the settings, but the kerning between letters does not pair well with the look of the font, and letters are harder to distinguish, which makes it harder to read. I would have looked for a different font for the young lady's dialogue.
• "The butler said the kotatsu was good, so I bought it" and a few other bits of text could be revised to sound more natural.
• first page the butler character's nametag and つづく on the second page are both untranslated.
• try not to use the same fonts for bubbled speech and sound effects

The tonal whiplash I went through while enjoying my cute SoL manga only to see this random passive aggressive scanlation snipe was enough to almost break my neck.

Also, as a reader, the difference was not noticeable to me until it was pointed out in the credits page.
