rushed ending and WAY too much emphasis on the romance instead of the, you know, robot conspiracy post-war world stuff
still, nice i guess.

Finally got to the ending.
Can't say I'm not disappointed by how lackluster the final chapter is but I guess they both wanted to move on to something else.
Thanks for allowing me to cross this off on my backlog after all these years with the TLs, team.

Eh, I'll write a full review earlier but the ending romance was lackluster. Childhood friend ending was the better ending

This series was, like many that came before, and have come since, an interesting mystery that devolved heavily by the time it ended. It was especially odd how in the tail end of the series, the two core conflicts (escape, supervisor plan) were solved by new characters appearing, and then solving those problems. Sporty girl arrives, breaks them out of the prison basically solo just because she's actually proactive. Admin arrives, they are screwed until yet-unseen manipulator appears and instantly kills admin. I guess the final conflict does at least involve the two protagonists working together. In the end, even the mystery had the most predictable possible conclusion.

That said, this manga did come with an absolutely shocking surprise in that the protagonist is originally of Arabic descent. I don't think I've ever seen a japanese manga like this one star such a character, and it almost makes me question the translation, but "Yashar Al-Sufeidi" is so unusual and unexpected that I have to give it credit.
