It does, though I fear a " wishy-washy" phase on the horizon. Though maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised and it'll be a reiwa-esque "struggles of dating an idol" instead. Both have the requisite drama, my plate for "waiting for the connection" is just a little full, and this one is prime for post-confession longevity. Unless the author wants to do both... Still I'd prefer the "dating drama" route.
Or it's a Reiwa-esque "non-struggles of dating where everything is pink and fluffy slice-of-life with absolutely no conflict for 500 chapters". Those are also pretty common, and, in my opinion, just as frustrating if not more than endless will-they-won't-they.
Starting to wonder if she got out of being an idol for Ichijou...after all, idols usually have a love/dating ban. But that would beg the question of how she new him before leaving the group. That is, if this is how the story's gonna play out.
