Well, it's clear that Nijima (the new dude) is clearly interested in FMC, and this new girl Mikitani is just trolling MC + FMC. Anyone who has read the WN can spoil if the new dude actually tries to confess to FMC?

Takuya stumbled a bit here, but he quickly fixes his behavior, and by the next day, he's more confident and reaffirms his feelings for Shion and vice versa. Mikitani does try to tease him a bit, but his confidence straight counters her and makes her flustered. In the end, they're ok as friends.

Nijima was seen at the very start of the story; he and much of the class tried to get Shion to go to karaoke, but she always turned them down simply because Takuya wasn't going to be there. He does do some cheesy rivalry with Takuya by dressing up in butler outfits and seeing who Shion leans towards, but we all know where that's going . Luckily, he quickly realizes he has no chance and cuts his losses.
