Tbh I sometimes forget what is going on when it's monthly in some mangas but I don't like broken down chapters too. Because they are not complete, it's confusing to read it. But when it's a whole chapter they generally won't make you question what happened the chapter before (unlike broken down chapters). So I will say monthly is the best. Thanks for the chapters and asking this.

Is it? I don't see any gymnastics there. I might have inserted the "corporations are evil" trope there for the sake of the metaphor, though. The real mental gymnastics is the belief that bad guys would form a united front against the good guys. Bad guys are bad guys because they can't be trusted and are willing to do anything to have their way. If you have two bad guys, neither of them would consider the other one anything but a possibly useful and naturally expendable tool. So, the shrine maiden in this chapter is perfectly justified in wondering if what she witnessed was a fight between a hero and a villain or just one villain removing another villain.

But please feel free to explain to me what you considered mental gymnastics.
