Looks like the manga took a middle ground approach conpared to the anime (where the director pushes Horikita as the main heroine, replacing many of Karuizawa's scenes with her, effectively making Karuizawa just another nobody side character in the anime) and the Light Novel (where Horikita loses any importance in the story other than being a plot device).

hasn't yet developed any kind of Stockholm syndrome towards Ayanokoji - something she exhibited earlier in the novel, and grew to almost unhealthy level later on.

The anime built with only one season in mind.
If they want to continue the anime, they'd either further apart from the LN (since the female lead in anime is Horikita, whereas in LN, Horikita is just a deuteragonist-- plus Horikita stole all the spots that other heroines had, and some of them were kinda important for further progress IIRC) or just assume everyone knows the bullshit and continue from this arc without thinking about how the 1st season anime progressed (which could piss animeonlyfags). The latter happened to be the case in certain anime that I forgot the name.
The LN is also already considered success sales wise, so there might be no reason to promote the LN anymore but idk.

I think it's more like the manga just captures the important events and skips some skippable events, so that makes her more active up to this chapter. It might be different later where the best girl is getting more active in her role.

The one I notice the most is Kiyotaka becomes more outgoing than the LN. The LN!Kiyotaka is like the middle line between manga!Kiyotaka and anime!Kiyotaka.
Other than that it's kinda similar, but some characters might look more active since the manga skips some skippable events.

And yeah, Koenji is based af as usual.

Edit: Just remember that Ichinose should say hello to Kiyotaka here (before the group introduction) since they're supposed to be closer after the camera incident in Sakura arc. Also some events before meeting Koenji. They might do that in next chapter but idk.

There are 4 outcomes in this game:
1st => answer is submitted and right in specified time (group answer) => everyone gets private points (school monetary currency) and VIP gets doubled of that; no class points bonus
2nd => answer is submitted but wrong in specified time or answer isn't submitted or answer is submitted late (group answer) => only VIP gets private points; no class points bonus
3rd => answer is submitted by non-VIP individual before specified time and right => they get private points alone; class points are added for the individual's class and class points are removed for the VIP's class
4th => answer is submitted by non-VIP individual before specified time and wrong => the VIP gets private points; class points are added for the VIP's class and class points are removed for the individual's class

Ichinose claims her class (in this group) want to aim the 1st outcome, but class A students claim she+her class will betray and do the 3rd outcome.
Class A students claim they want to aim the 2nd outcome.
