I like how this dealt with the effects of prejudice on gay couples. Not just the fact that it exists, but the emotional effect it can have in a relationship. A lot of yuri ignores prejudice outright (fantasy land where every girl is gay or every straight person is fine with it) or handles it in an over-the-top, melodramatic, way. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some fluff and don’t think everything needs to be serious, but it’s good to see it handled well every now and then.
