I just noticed after re-reading this, in page 11 in the clock tower the numeral "XII" is reversed to "IIX". I googled it and it symbolizes indecision, stalling, resistance, and avoidance of sacrifices.

I'm probably overthinking it but it's pretty interesting that it pictures our Pieta so much.
