thank you for the upload, but honestly shouldn't they let her employer know at the very least that their missing employee is safe now and is taking some time off to recover from the emotional duress caused by her kidnapping?

@Krune That comes with a bunch of extra baggage, especially since the kidnapping is being withheld from the news in the first place. Needlessly letting it slip that they're involved in it to someone not in their circle would just risk exposing whatever secrets they're trying to keep. Even if her employer doesn't do it indirectly, whatever knowledge he has might still be too dangerous.

My guess. She's from the past and was somehow transported into the future. The location she woke up in may not have been run down and abandoned in her time. It's likely a school judging from the architecture, her clothing and the research books.
