I think it's a sequel, seeing the drones and earbud-umbrella-technology stuff. Maybe Nero has plans to do something new with/transform Neo Venezia, and that's what he means?

It very well might be so far in the future, though, that the girls aren't around now after all, lol.

Anyhow, with what Nero said at the end, I have a feeling that it'll all come into light in due time!

Interesting. So ig it's more or less certain it's a prequel. Would love it if Aka-san and friends are the origins or at least encounter the origins of the mysterious events Akari and friends experienced.

Kurocha esp I still think is a young Cat Sith.
