The maids are the only people in this story who consistently do their jobs well. The guards barely guard, the spies suck at spying, the assassin can't assassin, the emperor doesn't seem to be ruling anybody, and the investigation department just goes around asking people point blank questions and wondering why they can't find the culprit of any of the crimes they're looking into . But those maids make the MC look fabulous and make sure that she is cared for, and they help spread rumors around the palace. Every chapter.

But how cute - the emperor is completely smitten with Yesuh now to the point where he can't even speak to her anymore. How hilarous. But bad for her mission, I guess, if the other party doesn't act as required.
