She's supposed to be the best assassin but her thoughts and actions don't indicate that. She just acts reckless and doesn't put much into how she thinks or what she does. It's not calculating or sly.
Assassination and espionage are not the same thing. She doesn't have to be great at everything to be a renowned assassin. I'm sure we'll see better performance from her when she's better acclimated to the palace.

@teddyhunter - That seems to be a problem with capable, independent women in Korea - once they enter the palace, the slowly lose their mojo (also seen in the tv drama "queen: love and war)
