I have the feeling its gonna turn out that Pistol Pete's charges were fabricated by the Cartel in order to get rid of him after even the Don couldn't beat him. I mean, this chapter clearly shows they already have ins with local corrupt police officers, so it seems like the type of thing they can do.

Though if that was the case, I doubt the Don would be surprised to see him in the Convict Colosseum. I mean, if you put one of the world's best fighters in prison what would you expect is gonna happen?

Actually this might be pretty likely, remember back during his holding where he said he was arrested for flowers despite making sure that those flowers were legal

Pete's been my favorite character since the very first chapter when he beat that dude in, like, two moves and proceeded to seal the deal by putting the rest of his arms and legs out of commission. Every chapter since then has just increased the hype and to be honest I wouldn't even mind if he loses at this point because that means he'll have gotten what he seems to want: a challenging fight.

Not that I think he'll lose at this point. The story seems to be setting him up to win after a grueling fight with Cucaracho.

agreed, he is the embodiment of what happens when a "True Neutral" character is done properly and without cynical undertones
