Honest question. Why? You think this disincentivises the other group from posting?
Wasn't meant to be a snipe to be honest. Read it in the beginning, when the fan translations stopped I read a few chapters without doing a scanlation (was lazy and bored). Then stopped reading because too much work for not enough story.

Now that Hao took over I started reading again from where I left off, but tbh I found the translations a bit... lacking.
No flack against Hao I find it great that he took up the torch, but since the tooling to do scanlations got better (I used to do manual edits with gimp. I know my edit sucks because I don't put much work into it, but it's about the general reading experience and enjoyment right?) I wanted to share the work I was doing anyway with others (yes it's easier for me to do a manual translation than to read a translation I don't enjoy)
Anyway had a few chapters in the pipeline I was planning on uploading, but if it's bad form I will wait and see if the "Hao Sect" releases keep coming and stay the same or stop/get worse.

Really didn't want to ruffle anybodys feathers/do things in poor taste. (leading question still stands - why was it a shitty move to share? was my translation this bad?)

Edit: Wanted to mention that I got annoyed with the wrong chapter numbers as well.

Go for it, dude.

I'm pretty sure the other guy's are MTL.

The edits of one manga he's working on is the same as the previous group that worked on it. A group that just disbanded (Discord server gone). When he's known as the previous group, he had a beef with another group (+one guy later on) on one manga, in which it's proven by the translator of the other group that this guy don't even know how to read Japanese. And the funny thing is that this guy said that his sister know Korean and he can work on Manwha before the Discord server's gone.

Despite having different names in the credit page, I'm pretty sure this guy works alone. He's going to go "Need donation to pay for my staff". It's his MO.

It'd be great if you can work on the missing chapters though.

Should have tagged me if you answered me, i found this only 'cause i came back to check if Hao released the chapters.
Guess they didn't.

I want to keep the conversation civil, i don't want to undermine neither your or Hao's work because scanlating isn't easy, i don't have any required skills to do that kind of job + you guys are doing it for free (i have nothing against donations) so i really don't have any right to complain.

I don't think sniping is inherently bad, it's useful to shake up a Scanlation group that sits on chapters or to bring a scanlation of better quality.
Neither of this is happening here: hao's been releasing chapters quite consistently and their translation is good, at least i have an easier time understanding it compared to yours. Maybe it's less accurate but it's adapted better.
Take this with a grain of salt though because english is not my first language.
I also think their job at cleaning is a little bit better than yours, in your bubbles there are a lot of smudges and stains and they don't look that good. Hao's too aren't perfect (you can see how in their scans there are some unclear cuts on the sfx specifically) but at least the bubbles keep their color.

Now, if this series gets interrupted (again btw, this series has been a snipefest before the DMCA) i'll be kind of pissed.
In hao's place i would stop translating this because getting sniped sucks.
Clearly nobody stops you to upload whatever you desire whenever you want. But maybe check in with the previous scanlator next time, especially when you are not providing a better reading experience, you might learn something useful.

Now, i don't want to bash your work, i think what you guys do is incredible and as i already said, i don't really have the skills to do anything remotely close. I don't think you have to stop what you're doing, if i were you i'd just check in with Hao out of basic respect and keep doing my thing.

Like I said. I already paused my uploads. I can continue them if Hao stops or whatever. I can live without the drama, but if this is enough to stop him from uploading more chapters he probably would have stopped without my intervention as well.

Btw what happened to the krankenscans? I seem to remember them being uploaded on mangadex as well... even if I don't see the point
