Tbf, these are the troops that are in the front lines, personally fighting and seeing the cost of the war. So I can understand they would be more shocked and thus less inclined to just go berserk when they discovered that all those bloodsheds were for nothing. Even with the dude who immediately went back-stabby, I don't think he was involved in much of the fighting himself.

I often confused by the inconsistent drawing. Which one is the MC and which one is the 2nd prince? They looks so similar aside from the eye color (which is often not drawn) and the 2nd prince's red lapel.
