Brutal. That shootout cements how rare actual "good guys" are in the dark setting. Not grimdark but grimzany or something. It's awkward that Edgerunners are that beloved but, maybe large crowds leave slightly more mid-upperclass gonks who don't have the same instincts to retreat. Or the fancy pair were famous but over-marketed for their skillset.
Character designs for secondary characters are on point like the Trigger anime. Hopefully other content in the setting keeps that trend one-upping the game. CP2077 is pretty but falls a bit short in art direction at times, yet the backgrounds and tech here and in the anime are still great.
And the mystery is good, I'm excited to see Mr/mx tabula rasa flick to different states. With a 75% chance they're dead by the end of the series if they're not a tie-in for something unannounced, how can we empathize with their cyberpsychosis? They don't seem worth AI/uploaded people puppeteering them, and a cyberware testbed shouldn't be randomly executed in front of the abandoned mall/GIM, 'Saka would mulch them properly. Not that I expect total coherence, it's a goofy adventure plot.
