Happy to see this back, but why there is so much plot-skipping between the chapters?

7 to 8: ending with capture of Silvia, to starting with Dark Orc rampaging and fighting the staff. Where's the Orc reveal, apprehending of Silvia and the staff called to arms?

8 to 9: ending with MC unleashing a super-mode, to starting with Silvia in the infirmary. I can understand keeping the full fight unrevealed to raise mistery and not showing a big plot device in the early chapters, but at least show the start of the new fighting phase, with the Dark Orc going all "What is this?" or "It cannot be!", and then some of the immediate aftermath, with the staff locating the girls and appearing on the scene.

Come on, author! You're cooking something interesting. Don't half-ass it!

Seems like the mangaka just cut out a massive amount of the story, then slotted it into flashbacks in order to fit the whole manga into 2 volumes. A shame because I really like the art and there was potential here. Well, hopefully they kiss now that they're literal soulmates.

If you look at the index, this volume has the "final chapter". I'm willing to bet this got cancelled and the author wanted to fit as much of the major story beats as possible in the room left.
