for anybody else confused about them saying espresso has less caffeine: they seem to be talking about both single-ounce espresso vs typical cup coffee or the various mix drinks that are made from both (latte, macchiato, etc). pure espresso has a lot more caffeine vs pure coffee when using the same units of volume, but most mixed coffee drinks dilute espresso to the point that there's less caffeine overall vs a drip coffee. also, lighter roasts typically have a higher caffeine content, since heat will break down caffeine and the longer/higher roast will cook more of it out.
