I feel like it always been imaginary (demon doesn't give info the huy doesn't know about, like when the melty stuff came down the window or what was down the stairs; when he went to sleep there was a white speech bubble referring to himself as you, so could've been that demon talking was really just the guy immagining it), and with the meteorite it became real, but there's no way of knowing for now

I've always found the author's thematics and style quite similar to Ooima Yoshitoki(A Silent Voice, To Your Eternity). I just hope she doesn't follow the path of the latter author where the plots in their later series got more and more convoluted to the point I dropped To Your Eternity halfway because of it, which is a shame as the art is top-notch...
