So, US of A gave Japan a form of military aid and assets after the first attack. F-4 Phantoms and Sherman tanks. A bunch of very old weapon platforms. Viet Nam War jet fighter as well as WW2 Medium tanks. Maybe they were retrofitted to fire a more up-to-date munitions?
