I haven't gone that far in the story but I always hear that Lostbelt always questions yar morality as a human DX
It's basically having to justify self-defense to yourself, to put it as bluntly and non-spoilery as possible. The Lostbelts haven't
really done anything wrong (except maybe the Fairy Britain one). They just want to survive, just like Proper Human History does. It's a 'one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist' type thing; they didn't
do anything wrong, they just... lost. And it's unfair that they got dragged out and are being forced to 'compete' with Proper Human History a second time, but they are. And we can't exactly just let them win, because then that consigns
us and the 8 billion people who live in
our branch of history to oblivion, and co-existence is just plain not an option because that's not how history works. It
must be A, or B. There is no clear-cut answer on whether what we're doing is the morally right thing.
