No, “family, schmamily” is a good thing. You can’t go word for word because of certain phrases when translating. Most likely, it was something that didn’t make sense/or exist in English.
The translator did us a favor in adding “family schmamily”. Just say your apologies and go back to sleep.

I think it's less about being considerate and more that she doesn't want to listen to their negative thoughts when she denies help.
