I love how everyone seemed smart. Even the matriarch lady. Even after everything that have happened. Rather than unreasonably angry and make bad decision, she tried to compromise and make the best decision to bring MC to her side.
The Patriarch also seems like a good guy, tho not that much of a good father figure. He knew his first born was more interested in Magic than the sword and tried his best to support it from behind the screen. Praise the child when they did something good, and scolds them when they did something bad
He could be a pretty good father if he was born in normal households
The conflict so far only between the wife and concubines.
But we will see how it will turn out
