This chapter is kind of unintentionally (or maybe it's actually intentional?) lewd with Okarun and Momo in various "positions", combining their ki together to power up Okarun's "ogre club" until it reaches it's maximum size, which results in an explosion and Momo's leg shaking and unable to stand up in the aftermath.

Such a sweet moment for our protagonist couple. This time they were dressed and no schoolmates around...
Wait, they were both protected from the whale by a force field. Was that Momo's power being unconsciously activated or justt another ability of the oni club?
Granny is back and she just silently drops by unannounced

Considering the skeevy shit the author had the aliens try to do to Momo in the early chapters it was 100% intentional. Not only that but when Momo tried to use the Ogre Club nothing happened but when she channeled her Ki through Okarun he was able to power it up even more implying that for some reason a girl can't use the ogre club despite having objectively more power than the boy.

Not only that but the first time the Ogre Club gets a power boost is when Okarun is getting unintentionally groped/smothered by Momo which is where he makes the connection that she can channel her power through him which is a not so subtle way of saying it powered up because he was aroused.

This is a prime example of Getting Crap Past the Radar.

The explosion doesn't seem to be because of Ogre Club's power, but rather it was because the giant Whale Alien ended up exploding as its body couldn't handle Earth's gravity.

What Ogre Club's did at the last moment was create a shield to protect Okarun & Momo from getting crushed by the giant Whale Alien, which also indirectly saved them from the explosion.

I wasn't sure if the alien was a reference to Star Trek 4 or Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy but I can be open minded enough to think you can put two references into one thing and enjoy them both at the same time.
Yeah, it’s a general “space whale” as concept reference, but I think its ultimate defeat is a nod to Hitchhiker’s. Two whales both done in by gravity.

And I love the fact that Turbo Granny returns, not as some last minute deus ex machina racing in to save the day, but just there: chilling on Seiko’s bed like she never left. Their’s is the ship that will never fail! 😭😭😭😭
