I think the characters most likely to ruin the class exchange at this point are probably Miku, Yuri and Ruri. I don't think any of the others are crazy or mind broken enough to pull something wild.

This is entirely speculation so I'll find out how it goes over the next few (or hundred) chapters

Somehow I doubt Miku will still be number 1 in their year after the next batch of tests. If Yuri-chan's inner mono- dialogue is anything to go by, guard students will replaced if they fall out of the top 3 in class. Japan also has a tradition of reshuffling classes every year, doesn't it?

Although I don't even want to imagine how many chapters it takes to get to the end of just this school year.

Yes, but Yuri or A-ko were not shown receiveing punishment. Well, as for Yuri - getting touched by Miku (even violently) might be a weird form of reward. Interestingly enough, none of the "named" characters got shown getting punched - Maria at least voiced her concerns about it, but the other two stayed silent - probably, but none of the texts looked like they were from A-ko and Yuri should be distiguishable somehow. What if Yuri was absent as well, because she had to recover from all that Sou did to her that day? Or Miku sniffed her out as the main culprit and gave her special treatment.

Now, as for this chapter... lol, so the three of them decided on this formation? Yeah right, I bet the two "sane" guards let the one who went bonkers have that spot to placate her mood swings. Still, I feel like we're about one or two chapters away from the first trainwreck of the day.

Hinata is 100% in denial. Assuming her complexes are similar to the 18+ version she's struggling very heavily with them and she's actually MORE motivated than her peers to delude herself about some things.

It's not surprising Kana is the most clear-headed of the bunch right now. She's honestly fairly stable compared to the majority of the cast, actually.

To be honest, and I'm sorry for Miku fans, I'm expecting that. Her change has been too quick and we have seen several characters talking abou it.
Hopefully that will make her cold atittude go back at intervals, like a tsundere of some sorts.

I sincerely expect that, much like Yuri's Sides drive her to closer to insanity, Kana will manage to just barely hold on thanks to Octopus-Sausage-impact!Kana giving her a well-timed push on the Mental Plane at a key moment. Something along the lines of "No, you have to bring 「My World」 into existence; You can't let it end here!"

I was worried Hinata was going to go full yandere when I saw her staring at Miku but it seems like the break from Sou let her gain her composure back

I think her survival instincts kick in whenever she sees fists of fury Miku with Sou, and she decides not to interfere.
