As much as I liked the Miku scene and the yabai Affirming Big Brother max output, this version is really funny, unexpected, and functional. In a single move it pulled the family from the sidelines into the spotlight, brought back the Sato family being embarrassing subplot (lol), and represents another step (well, more a blow under the belt than a step) toward regaining freedom. Chef's kiss.
People who always complain about Sou not being aware of the weirdness can be a little happier too.
BTW, Violet-sama got singled out with that “especially,” but he did say "my family" , including Sakura as well, LOL.

Yeah, I can see why. I mean, the scrapped stuff would ultimately lead to a point of no return. The class observation would certainly fail, if Erika lost her sanity right under the nose of Sou's family. It's one thing if a random girl misbehaves a little, but if even a teacher fails to control herself, then there's no way Akane would let her son attend the academy any longer. Ruri would be grinning from ear to ear by now.

But still, bashing and slandering Sumire... I don't really like that part of Sou. Sumire is a caring Nee-san and he should be glad to have her. He could have had way worse girls at home. It seems he already forgot who actually made it even possible for him to attend the academy.
