I don't think it is, iirc in one of the earlier chapters of the normal version a girl in Sou's class thought that since he seemed to get along with his family he already had 3 wives guaranteed, so it doesn't seem to be super taboo, more likely that it's just super uncommon for the boy to actually be willing to do anything
