That scene with the contact lens is oddly relatable. I remember when one of the screws in my glasses came undone while walking home, and the lens popped out. Even with one eye still clear, it's very disorienting, and it took me a solid minute to find the lens that fell. I don't blame her for panicking one bit.
It was a bit worse for me, since the glass lens flew upwards and hit my forehead. For a moment, I thought someone had thrown a rock at my head, and the vision was from a concussion or something. I guess having any of your senses impacted suddenly will make the brain freak out.
