I really liked the character foils shown here, with the pure fairytake love with the creepy, obsessive love

Having seen the 1:39, I see what's wrong with this story: it makes no use of the 1:5 setting. Everything that's happened so far is completely plausible in the 1:1 world.
While i do agree that it doesn't make full use of its premises, it's still only 1:5 ratio where for every 500 female, there is only 100 male. Unlike the 1:39 one where for every 3900 female, there is only 100 male.

This kind of interaction is still plausible and probably will also be similar with our world. The only difference based on the story is that the "undesirable" and the "unpopular" would also get a chance there compared to ours.

The cultural role might be switched, going closer to the ancient arabic and middle eastern time where there is actually less female since they thought female is a burden and often killed their daughter if not a son. But even then their world aren't that radically different. Still, there is a lot could be done like how protective the female are, what role the male have in society, etc.

That scene with the contact lens is oddly relatable. I remember when one of the screws in my glasses came undone while walking home, and the lens popped out. Even with one eye still clear, it's very disorienting, and it took me a solid minute to find the lens that fell. I don't blame her for panicking one bit.
It was a bit worse for me, since the glass lens flew upwards and hit my forehead. For a moment, I thought someone had thrown a rock at my head, and the vision was from a concussion or something. I guess having any of your senses impacted suddenly will make the brain freak out.

Everyone arguing about Seira or bestgirling Mizuho.

What about Masato's coworker who straight-up admitted his girlfriend came at him with a knife?
Yeah that's pretty dark
And i hate Masato just didn't seem to pay attention to that and just focused on the fact he was kind to women...which makes it even worse as it's exacttly guys like them that get that kind of shit

Bruh, in the real world, it's impossible to have a harem of beautiful women without being really fucking famous or rich. You think that this is normal, because you have seen far too many harem manga.
There are a handful of case of otherwise pretty ordinary guys or women snagging a harem because their game was just that good

That said in a lot of those case they were either cult leaders or pro scammers

That being said i think what he meant is the pattern of "woman has an history of getting abused by men" --> said women falling into the lap of a kinder guy is something that happens IRL

I feel like it's kinda weird to socially shame someone for never having had a boyfriend before.

In a world with this gender ratio and men being as picky as they are, surely it'd be reasonable for a good 25-30% of all women to simply never date anyone unless it's Mr. Right for them?

What I can buy is that shoujo romance stories are more popular than ever. Most products should be targetted at women in these sorts of worlds.
In our world we shame guys for being virgins even though many are like that
