Right now the story seems to be treating all men like shit. However, I wonder if the men we've seen so far act like this as a means to ward off bad actors (kinda like how there's a stigma against ugly men in the real world because they aren't the norm and thus are "more likely" to have bad intentions with the gender they are attracted to). We've already seen hints of it with the yandere OL as she is literally stalking him and treating their transactional relationship as a romantic one.

The MC is almost dangerously naïve with the way he acts. He's completely oblivous to the societal norms of that world. Right now we are seeing his outlook as good, however, the story is slowly hinting at the faults of his worldview.

Considering just how fast it took for Kuomi to heel-turn, you may be onto something

In the 1:39 manga, the MC's naivety is leaned into to maximize comedy, but here that aspect is flipped on it's head a bit; we can see already how Masato is eventually going to back himself into a corner with no escape routes if he keeps it up
