Without parents doesn't inherently mean dead parents, but she did come from the "facility" and she probably wouldn't be there if she was with her parents already, but the short answer is there is no mistake in the translation.Page 8 says "A young child without parents", not sure if that's the correct translation, but she did had parents, can't remember if they "died a mysterious death" or she was just taken forcibly away from them, but she is a legit member of a branch family.

Though I can't recall anything about her parents being in a branch family so far, it also doesn't specifically state that she isn't from a branch either.
Yes I know she had parents, you kinda need them to be born lol.@WishitScans
O . o?
Pages 9 and 10 have a woman by the door that is told to leave. She also describes the sneakers that get thrown way as something from her mom. So Rei clearly had perents, or least a mother, but was "adopted" by the main clan due to her potential.
lol what’s with this sudden “defiant” attitude the mc has got now? Where was all this bluster when the elves were taking over his house and basically abusing him?
Pick your battles. Do you challenge the Legendary Elf Swordmaster who has decided she's your instructor, and has to be reminded to not seriously swing with the intent to cleave you in two, or the members of your extended family, where like he said in the flashback, like it or not he is the son of the main family and any shit they give him will be returned to them many times over?lol what’s with this sudden “defiant” attitude the mc has got now? Technically she still has perents, unless they have been killed off since. Just because the main branch forcibly adopted her doesn't negate that fact either. I included you specifically because even if your defense of your translated word choice is correct, your conjecture of her previous living conditions are completely wrong.Yes I know she had parents, you kinda need them to be born lol.
I just brought attention to the confusion around the word "without" so they know it was translated correctly.
It was more about whether or not they belonged to a branch and if so has it been stated yet. (not implied)
The word you are looking for here is faculty, as in staff of a school or learning institution. And she was clearly there with her mother. Both were equally powerless to defy the orders of the matriarch of the main family. Page 13 reinforces that she had parents, and that all contact had been severed once delivered to main house.Without parents doesn't inherently mean dead parents, but she did come from the "facility" and she probably wouldn't be there if she was with her parents already, but the short answer is there is no mistake in the translation.
While I can't read the raws, from your translation they imply Sei is from a mundane family. They said she was a commoner, and she would be training to to become the matriarch's successor to the Main Branch. Again there might be some contextual clues that were lost in translation.Though I can't recall anything about her parents being in a branch family so far, it also doesn't specifically state that she isn't from a branch either.
It's really sad story, damnn man. she was adopted and forced to become part Sanjou family, which was full of violence
I do agree that the translation is not wrong per se, but the wording can be confusing to some, which for them could sound like bad translation. That's what I meant.Without parents doesn't inherently mean dead parents, but she did come from the "facility" and she probably wouldn't be there if she was with her parents already, but the short answer is there is no mistake in the translation.
