While I don't need a crotch shot of a child, I would have half expected MC to trip and land in their crotch, and tell us what they found out. Even helping the child wash, it seems unlikely they'd not notice their real gender, so the gender likely matches what they've always believed, so if they've actually been using gendered pronouns in the Japanese raws rather than ungendered ones, they are likely that gender.

Well sometimes pronouns in Japanese can't determine whether it's a girl or a boy, and I'm already tired of LGBT pronouns which just make the story a bit confusing because sometimes TL likes to change the characters pronouns
