It's also nice because it's appropriately icky? Like there are a lot of stories where a) a grown woman in a child or teen's body wins over family members who were distant/neglectful/hostile to the actual original kid and b) that process and the family members are depicted as wholesome. That's not wholesome, it's icky, especially when the family member is a parent.
