We never dropped it 😊 Last upload was only about a month ago!"I Picked Up a No-Good Useless Prince" finally got picked back up, thank god.
TokyoPop has been very active as a publisher lately and seem to be growing bigger and bigger. I'm very much looking forward to buying this manga from them!!Is tokyopop still a joke that rewrites half their translations?
Honestly I can't believe they're still around.
Interestingly, they have also licensed one of our other manga, called Love Begins Under the Falling Camellias, a drama. Both Condemned Prince and that one can be read on the same Japanese website.its nice that such a fun casual story managed to get an official license. hoping more can get licensed too
I would love to see this turn into a romance story. I am in agreeance, there is pleanty of room for character development I hope they flush out, and if they go for the romance side of things, I'd love the conflict with Kuruhi and Emma being from such different statuses, and the potential (or red herring) that emma is also descendent from royalty. Thanks for continuing with this series.
Introducing a "childhood friend" for the FL obviously opens the door for the ML to get pangs of jealousy--but I imagine that would be down the line, as he's still in the process of getting back on his feet and figuring out his own life.
I am curious when (or I guess even if) our FL will see her own feelings turn toward actual romance, and not "romance in the idea of her otaku fantasy made manifest". They're just a person helping put another person back together at present, and it's still quite early into the series in general, so I don't expect any progress on that front for awhile yet, if at all (would be kind of cool to see platonic friendship, though I realize I'm reaching).
But the development of a quasi-rival for our Prince means stuff might be picking up, as he starts trying to "measure up" to the clearly stronger and more handy Nagi. Could mean some new paths toward improving himself though, which would be good (especially if Nagi poses zero threat to the Prince on any axis, and becomes a friend and ally in whatever schemes the Prince's brother is cooking up behind the scenes).
Interesting indeed!Interestingly, they have also licensed one of our other manga, called Love Begins Under the Falling Camellias, a drama. Both Condemned Prince and that one can be read on the same Japanese website.
Due to their licensing of Camellia, we will only scanlate one more chapter and then drop that one.
