Per ch1.2 She was sent to the convent for being a disgraced "avataria." The convent may cloister itself off from the outside world to better have the the priestesses concentrate on prayer. Also in the same chapter MC makes it clear this was all according to plan.

Well yes, it's according to her plan, but what I am wondering is, when nothing on the 'condemnation' side actually panned out, did her family not take steps to undo what was done? Even if they don't care about her, they care about their own reputation.

Yes, I have also been wondering since the very first chapter if she was assuming "the game" would somehow "do everything" if she just ignored it and went about her business.

If her outlook is that this is not a "real" world, with "real" people in it, then why should she care what happens to them? If it's all a simulation, a game, then none of her choices really matter; she's the only "real" person in this world.
