I'm a bit conflicted about this. During their introduction in the F park arc, they were touted as extremely dangerous that it needs a Graduate class granny with a soul displacement skill to kill them effectively. Now, only 3 mid tier ghost with no curse skills other than the nurse can defeat the shinigami.
Plus with the shinigami's skill. It's a wonder why Yayoi won't catch anymore of the shinigami when they could potentially do an absolute beating on Kuubou ungraduated.
I guess what's gonna happen with the graduate shinigami is enough to prevent her from hunting shinigamis. RIP old lady then.

And that salt water in the mouth is so bad. All the manga arcs would be a lot less dangerous had Yayoi and the gang ran around with salt water in their mouth. And Yayoi knew about this before the manga started too. smh

Man, prequels do be retconning the main series a lot.

Granny became a graduate eating them, it needing 3 ghosts, two of which are stronger than the average ghost having been feeding is in line with what she said about them, they were never supposed to be graduates just above average


As for the water, it likely wouldn't even work on graduates and Yayoi wants the ghosts to come to them anyway plus this chapter shows why she cant, even if she erases her presence she cant erase the presence if the ghost shes carrying

Realistically speaking - and I know the manga isn't going for this, but still - Yayoi would have to be or become quite messed up by doing this. You have a little child earnestly considering torture as a way to make others do what she wants. How long until she'd decide that humans aren't so different from ghosts, after all?

Being fair, the nurses in the last chapter straight up said that something had to give, either her body, her mind or her heart. She's already a traumatised mess and she herself states that she lost a lot of her ability to feel in the previous chapter.

Granny was killing them with simple surprise attacks. The soul imprisonment was just to get bait for them. In fact, the Granny was always the main danger of the park, not shinigami.

Second, the salt water technique has a little purpose when you actively need your enemies to notice you to reveal themselves for the hunt. In fact, the series straight up tells us that Yayoi's main issue was one of getting the ghosts to notice her and interact enough to hunt them.

Its a different entity for sure with no ego but they all had clear purpose, plus this chapter just established that in the spiritual realm it is a law of the jungle in the afterlife, be it demon, deity/god, ghosts, humans and so on.

If you go and reread the Omake at the end of chapter 52, demon and god/deity are just the same kind entity in DG verse, spirit lifeform with tremendous spiritual power.

7 years is a good run, but... shrugs This isn't the first aggregator to die, it won't be the last. We'll be back to the days of little manga mini-aggregators for a while, but hopefully the translators keep working and uploading when a new 'default upload' site gets chosen by the community.
