I had the same thought. I also thought meatball ghost was gonna be ghost/water type because of the rain, but got listed as ghost/psychic instead. What next, is the Oiren gonna be ghost/flying, because of her butterflies, instead of ghost/fire?

I think it's because he wants to die and not really fighting to live. His best ability is to drain the vitality of the enemy instead of purely physical fighting
