I always thought that the art was a bit weird sometimes, is the author using 3D models and drawing over them? The characters certainly look like 3D models.

I use this program they use for scenery all the time for my job (sketchup) and it's quite distracting for me seeing how they use it. I really do not like it. The characters seem drawn though
