And from seeing the comments I'm starting to believe the anime filtered out the story telling for a more anime original outcome based on story plot point outlines from the author and that the manga version will be a more tight story. (I did say in previous comments id give the anime a shot but I ultimately didn't since I saw ep1 it felt censored so I stopped lol)

Maybe they used the anime to test concept ideas and depending on fan reactions they'll craft the manga to better improve itself from its other media counterpart.
