I wonder if that was her being scared/nervous, or more "jittery excitement nerves". The face she had makes me think it was the former, I guess. Which, interesting that the bravado appears to fall away the moment it looks like it's time to stop talking and start walking.

But I'm gonna go ahead and guess that "I never thought of you as a friend" line just means "I've loved you since moment one" or thereabouts. Meaning Mirei is not going to get out of this one if Soprano-chan has anything to say about it.

Well not damn. I will say that honestly girls do have this kind of bravado by (the equivalent of junior year high school) when it comes to romance and honestly … bravo for Soprano not feeling shame, not letting the prejudice of her one sided crush shake her identity.
Nowwwwwww on the part of making your apparent straight friend fall in love with you by making all sorts of advances, there would be a dubious consent tag if this were Dynasty Scans, right? Yes Soprano seems to be scared of rejection again, as Mirei noticed from the shaking, but I think she’s gonna be a tough egg to crack. Would this ever become a story where the “straight person wins” or will it be just like the Impossible for girls to love each other 100 days whatever manga? Btw now that was was good - it worked because of the presentation of a brat and brat tamer dynamic. But idt Mirei is a BDSM brat . . .

Here’s the thing, it would be one thing if Mirei simply didn’t feel the same way and turned down Soprano properly, but that was not a rejection, that was a complete dismissal of not just Soprano‘s feelings, but same-sex romance in general. They’re not going to get anywhere until Mirei can at least accept that girls can fall in love with other girls, then she can accept Soprano‘s feelings for what they are, and interrogate what her own feelings are.
