Here’s the thing, it would be one thing if Mirei simply didn’t feel the same way and turned down Soprano properly, but that was not a rejection, that was a complete dismissal of not just Soprano‘s feelings, but same-sex romance in general. They’re not going to get anywhere until Mirei can at least accept that girls can fall in love with other girls, then she can accept Soprano‘s feelings for what they are, and interrogate what her own feelings are.
