Why the hell would she not just leave her glasses off, maybe she can't see in the prince's direction because of his aura but she could at least see other's around her? Or wait for another opportunity to see the queen's aura...case in point, if she just left her glasses on her eyes would've seen the queen's aura already. Now if she takes her glasses off to look at the queen and then puts it on to still see the prince, it looks weird.

Prince acts really juvenile, it's absolutely a low blow for him to attack her looks directly when she was already feeling down...if he just said something about her facial expression or posture, sure, but she already didn't feel beautiful in her outfit initially. If someone shotgunned me with all that when I was dressed up and then went "haha, jk" it really comes across as fake. Way to stroke his own ego but then take a jab at hers, what a narcissist.

Damn this Prince sucks. At first he doesn't even really like her, just finds her interesting and not even thinking about her feelings and forces her to work for him so he can get close to her. Acts like a child too.. He makes fun of her then compliments her. Now he gonna get angry trying to "protect".

I'm already shipping her with Jerich. Gilbert is too much of a jerk. When you diss a girl's outfit at a soiree, what is she supposed to do? Leave and change? She can't do that. So she'll feel horrible for the rest of the night. I really hate him.

This entire family is kind of sus, sucks she's a shoujo Protag so she has to put up with these dumb situations. He insulted her after she was so happy about everyone helping her get ready and he probably did it because she looked pretty and others wanted to dance with her. Of course insulting her so she questions her looks and feels terrible for the rest of the night then probably never dress up again like this will make her beauty all his.
I hate how they treat her like some object only for their purposes

Honestly Gilbert had already fallen pretty low in my estimation... I really didn't think he could drop much lower, but boy did he ever!
Sometimes an ML not liking that the FL is dolled up and beautiful in public is cute (in a it's fiction so it's okay to be possessive and a boar about it sort of way). This, however is plain mean. He's aware that she's got a low awareness of her own looks, and that as a result she's allowed other people with excellent fashion sense to have fun putting a lot of effort into getting her extra shiny for the ball. Him saying those words like that, is like saying "even experts can never make you look good". It's cruel. He doesn't even properly counter his own words.
The proper (if cliché) way of doing this is "your dress/hair/make up sure is different/stands out/something that can be taken either way. I don't like it." and then immediately after before the insult sinks in "Now everyone else/guy is going to be looking at/notice you too."
The fact that she's all gooey eyed over how kind he is is revolting.
Seriously, if aura is meant to show the person's inner self, I cannot understand why his is so bright. Unless brightness actually means evil... which would be an amazing plot twist, someone please write that, I would read it!

I think I'd take literally anyone else as the ML besides gilbert.... Even guren, as much of a snake as he is, is more understandable and consistent since it's his job to use whatever means necessary to help gilbert, but gilbert himself is flipping between seeing her as a tool and seeing her as a toy while acting as if she should be thankful to him and it's ssoooooo annoyyinnngggg

So the prince actually negged her? Wow.

I'm convinced his dazzling aura is just because of hentai protagonist qualities, that he'd destroy Rina in bed. And he has a thing for nerdy meganes, which she is now.

The only way they could make the prince into a suitable lover for Rina is for him to admit he's in love with her (which he did almost do at one point) and he actually gets nervous around her, leading to his erratic behavior.
