I'm a fan of romance and all, but I honestly hope that she doesn't end up with Gilbert. Or at least she gets to go home first and then decides on her own to come back before she ends up with him. I hate when the fl is forced into accepting the ml's affections, but it's all magically ok at the end because of love (Stockholm syndrome)🙄 I prefer it when the fl gets to go back/achieves her goals and then makes the conscious decision to be with the ml.

Why is everyone acting like her and Gilbert are already a couple? Especially since, as some other commentors have mentioned, he did trick her into signing a very unfair contract. You can't exactly build a loving, trusting relationship with something who would swindle you in a heartbeat if they think there's something to gain. There's just not much chemistry between the two leads, at all. He acts superficially nice but really hasn't taken any concrete action that qualifies as truly kind. A well written story could easily reveal him to be a sociopath.

Gilbert probably would be an excellent King, mostly because he has an utterly ruthless nature that would make the sort of tough decisions leaders have to. The very traits that make me dislike him are ones that would make him the sort of hard man Kingdoms need.

same with everybody else, I don't think the FL and Gil have any chemistry at all. every "romantic" action so far has seemed superficial and not the least but memorable. hope the FL can escape her slave contract and gtfo as fast as possible

gilbert's still a POS in my books and jericho seems like a fine lad himself but i don't think he's had enough appearances for me to develop second lead syndrome. but tbh he's still a waaaay better option than gilbert. also: please let queen mom be tsundere it's my new favorite trope 😭
