if you can't get your mind around people being similar and think that everyone is a snowflake, you don't understand how security works, how healthcare works, how learning and teaching work , ect.. while i'm not arguing that no one is unique, it is ignorant to say that i can't, or we shouldn't organize people into types and categories; it is impossible for modern society to function on a mass scale by treating everyone on a case by case basis. no one is treated as a blank slate because we don't have the time or resources to do so

@Bana The fuck said anything about running society? If you're not currently acting as the minister of health or whatever, shut the fuck up and treat people like people.

society is made of people and is the system by which norms and customs of treating people is perpetuated. very relevant, unless you're talking about an ideal world in your mind where everyone knows each other personally. i don't know fantasy, i only know the real world

@Bana Non-autistic people generally have a fairly intuitive instinct that lets them get a pretty decent idea of who they're talking to without the need to put them into primitive mental boxes, but maybe that's not relevant to you. I'm sure it's really fun to interact with people on the basis of rudimentarily established and often convoluted behavioral systems that only make sense within very limited contexts though. There's certainly nothing to be had by striving to be a bit more socially advanced than that.

you probably haven't realized it but everyone uses categories and classifications. or else you're the only non autist in the world; but then you'd be classifying me as an autist just because i disagree with your opinions in which case you'd be doing something that autistic people do! oh no! anyway i'd rather be an "autist" like the author rather than be like you.

here's certainly nothing to be had by striving to be a bit more socially advanced than that.
there is nothing to be gained but more whiny immature brats who don't understand why no one sees why they are so special and unique and important.

no one is important or special. that's what prime minister ogino said, you'd better think why he said that and why you disagree

@Bana I never said anyone's important, you presumptuous ninny. It's not a good thing that everyone's unique, and everbody being unique makes it definitionally impossible for people to be special because they're unique, but it doesn't change the fact that there is no such thing as a person without hidden depths and circumstances. You're arguing like you're arguing against someone who thinks human life has infinite value and that everyone should be carefully attended to on an individual basis, which I haven't said or even thought at any point in my life. You're putting those words in my mouth.

I'm guessing it's because you have to apply broad labels on me to have even a vague idea of where I'm coming from and failing at it because I don't happen to be reflecting the sentiments of any given group or type of people, on account of being an independent thinker on a very basic level. I, along with a humongous amount of people whose existence you're futilely denying do not, as a matter of fact, operate at the low, low level of social awareness where someone saying one thing means he automatically belongs together in a category with every other person who's ever said that one thing. There was no categorization made on my part, for example, to deduce that you must have misunderstood and failed to connect with a fuckton of people in your life. Simple logic is enough for that.

if there is no one is important, how are some people different from normal people?

You're arguing like you're arguing against someone who thinks human life has infinite value and that everyone should be carefully attended to on an individual basis, which I haven't said or even thought at any point in my life. You're putting those words in my mouth.

If you want to get really precise, there are approximately 7.8 billion types of people.
if no one needs to be attended to on an individual basis, there definitely aren't 7.8 types of people. those small differences are negligible or superficial. what makes someone different in such a way that they are their own classification?

If you think any two people are basically the same person, it probably does say at least something about them, but more than anything it means that you just don't know them that well and are ignorant about their differences.
if there is no value in knowing everyone on an individual basis, why is this important?

shut the fuck up and treat people like people.
i don't know what this means or refers to

There was no categorization made on my part, for example, to deduce that you must have misunderstood and failed to connect with a fuckton of people in your life.
it's true. any truly independent thinker will encounter people they cannot understand or connect with... because that's what it means to be independent. don't feel bad for me though, once you figure out that subscribers, likes, and upvotes are not a rating of your personal value, you'll grow out of that phase and find value in your own beliefs

@Bana You... really don't understand the basic, dictionary definition level difference between the words "special" and "different"? You really are beyond help. Why are you even bringing up likes and subscribes when we're not even talking about running a business? Even for a casual friendship, if it's to be genuine, you're going to need to know a guy better than as a collection of broad labels. How obtuse do you have to be to think that being even vastly different from someone means being unable to understand them? You're really unable to comprehend the fact that your brain doesn't use Venn diagrams when defining who other people are to you and each other?

I called you autistic before as a joke, but you seriously might want to get tested. I'm done with you.
