What was the purpose of shooting the speaker box? That wouldn't have done a damned thing. Puncturing a speaker just messes with your side of the audio; there's still at least one microphone in the room. Since this is D-Job, I would assume there were a couple of cameras in the room too. Loose lips sink ships.

I think the purpose was to stop it from making any sounds. The mics and cameras were not a problem here but the other side interrupting.

It was to get them to stop yapping, before Chief shot the speaker Shinobu was hoping D-Job would shut up so that they wouldn't convince Chief and Gamer to go along with the murder
