The Hero of Shiga and Sato are actually good friends. They are extremely jealous of each other tho, as they got the harem they want in reverse, meaning the Shiga hero wants the loli, and Sato wants the boing boing. Its quite comedy really because they are like bro's but they are jealous of each other.
Also to note, the God who brought Sato to this world, is actually his childhood friend, and basically put a curse on him so he can only get a party group of all loli's.

The "pen" in "Pendragon" obviously doesn't refer to a writing implement. It is from the Welsh (or generally Brythonic, which modern Welsh is a derivative of) word for "head" or the top of something (including hierarchies)... and the name would initially have been something like Penddraig... i.e. Dragon-Head.... or Head Dragon (as in leader of dragons).

I absolutely guarantee you that nobody involved in the creation of this story knew it meant head. They weren't joking when they put a writing implement in the crest. It probably just didn't occur to them that there are different languages within Britain, not only within different geographical locations but the change across time too.

Honestly I'd be a little surprised if they could distinguish between British, Irish, Scandinavian or mainland European folklore.

@The5thSeraph I didn't know the etymology either.. but I bet they would have heard Arthur Pendragon.. it appears in heaps of medieval manga.. most recently probably in Seven Deadly Sins. fantasy writers are probably generally aware stories of excalibur.. whether they know the difference between Welsh, Irish, Anglo-Saxon or Danish history of Britain only applies to manga dealing directly with that history.. btw Vinland Saga is fantastic

Of course they've "heard of" it, else they wouldn't know the name to put it in. I'm saying they don't know what it means, and most likely don't particularly care where it comes from. The only things they care about are that it is European and in the public domain.
